I must have hundreds of sites bookmarked now for all sorts of subjects. Some of them have lots of information, some not so much, but pretty much all of them only deal with either internet marketing or programming.
I don't know about you, but I got rather fed up that there was no real place to go that had both types of information and resources in one place.
Now, being from a professional programming background and having run several small businesses over the years, both of these subjects have always interested me. I have always had the ability to draw information from many areas and bring it together to learn about a particular subject, so I personally didn't have much problem in learning how to program and market for the web ... eventually.
It's that "eventually" that bugged me though. It took much longer than I would have wished to bring everything together. There's so much chaff out there that it's really difficult to find the wheat. As I said, as I have a programming background I didn't have too much problem understanding everything once I had found it, but I do pity those who don't have my kind of background.
So now, much further down the road, I have the knowledge necessary to build a quite decent website and to market it. I'm always learning though. I love learning new things - I can't stop myself. :-)
My other love is to help others and give advice where I possibly can. In fact, I have always seemed to do much better and enjoy myself more when I'm helping others than when I'm doing stuff for myself. Which brings me to my newsletter and website.
After building a few websites for friends, relatives and local businesses, it occurred to me that I could apply my ability of bringing disparate and dispersed information together and helping people to understand it and create that website that I've always longed for.
